Some of the highlights of Osaka are, Universal Studios Japan, Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan (The world’s largest aquarium), Shitennoji Temple, and its many bustling streets for shopping and its wide varieties of delicious Japanese cuisine. Added to this there are the many festivities here. On January 10th , Toka Ebisu, (Fortune God Festival) brightens up the city, and everybody goes out into the streets, it is especially crowded. In July is the Tenjin matsuri, (Tribute to the Gods); the world biggest on water festival by the bay. In August, we have Hanabi Daikai, the fireworks festival and in December, Mandoue, literally translated as thousand lights festival. Mandoue brings out all types of lightings onto the buildings in Osaka, it is particularly breathtaking and picturesque.
