You can purchase your Railcard (1-year) through the Trip.com app, as shown below.
What do I need on-hand when buying my Railcard?
Proof of age (valid UK driving licence/provisional licence, passport, or EEA national ID card)
A high-quality digital passport-style photo of yourself
A debit or credit card for payment
Step 1: Open the Trip.com app and tap "Trains" at the top of the homepage
Step 2: Tap "Buy a Railcard" at the bottom of the page
Step 3: Sign in to your Trip.com account and select the right Railcard for you
Step 4: Enter your personal information (including name, date of birth and a passport-style photo) and purchase
Step 5: You can now tap ‘My Railcards’ to view your new Railcard
Step 6: Make sure to add your Railcard when booking train tickets digitally (or select it if buying tickets physically) to enjoy discounts.

What’s the difference between a 16-17 Saver Railcard and a 16-25 Railcard?
The 16-17 Saver offers 50% off Standard Anytime, Standard Off-Peak, Standard Advance and Season tickets, as well as most Rail Rover fares, Express services to the airport, and 1/3 off PlusBus day tickets. Alternatively, the 16‐25 Railcard gives 1/3 off Standard Anytime and Standard Off-Peak tickets, as well as Standard and First Class Advance tickets, Anytime Day Travelcards, Express Trains to the airport and more.
Both allow for travel during any time of the day, but a 16-25 Railcard has a minimum fare of £12 that applies to all journeys made between 4:30 am and 9:59 am, Monday to Friday excluding Advance fares.
Ultimately, the 16-17 Railcard typically offers a stronger discount on most ticket types.

Yes, you can get 50% off Season tickets. Please note that the 16-17 Saver cannot be used as a Photocard for a paper Season ticket and if you are buying a paper Season ticket for the first time you will need to have a photocard created at a staffed National Rail Station. You will need to provide a passport-type photograph for your Photocard and the photocard must be carried when travelling.Can I use my 16-17 Saver on Transport for London services?
Yes, you can use a 16-17 Saver Railcard on Transport for London (TfL) services if you buy a Travelcard as part of a train ticket into London from outside Zones 1-9.
