Travelcard Types and Prices
There are different types of Travelcards available, depending on the zones you need to travel in and the duration of your stay in London. Here are some examples of Travelcard types and prices:
Travelcard Season Tickets
If you want to use a Travelcard for a longer duration, there are three ticket types to choose from:
• 7 Day Travelcard: 7 days' travel for price of 5
• Monthly Travelcard: Save 11% compared to using four consecutive 7 Day Travelcards
• Annual Travelcard: Save 13% compared to using twelve consecutive Monthly Travelcards
You can also customize the duration of your Travelcard, any length between 1.5 and 10.5 months.
Day Travelcard
A Day Travelcard is a type of ticket that allows unlimited travel on London's public transport network for one day.
• Anytime Day Travelcard: use for the date on the ticket and for journeys starting before 04:30 the next day
• Off-peak Day Travelcard: use from 09:30 (Monday to Friday), anytime on weekends or bank holidays for the date on the ticket and for journeys starting before 04:30 the next day.
Please note that if you buy the Day Travelcard on Trip.com, you will need to collect the paper ticket.

UK Train Ticket Types
Off-Peak & Super-Off Peak train tickets
Off-Peak tickets are cheaper and more flexible, allowing for travel during less busy times. Super Off-Peak tickets are even cheaper and are perfect for less conventional schedules.
Return train tickets
Valid for both an outward and return journey from the same destination on your chosen route.
Advance train tickets
Typically the most cost-effective option for train travel. They are usually available for purchase 12 weeks before the travel date.
Season train tickets
Season tickets allow unlimited travel between two stations and can save you more than 1/3 on train fares.

What are Zones 1 to 6 in London?
London is divided into different travel zones to calculate fares and issue tickets. Zones 1 to 6 refer to the concentric rings that extend outward from the city center. Here's a breakdown of which area each zone generally covers:
• Zone 1 - Central London.
• Zone 2 - Inner London.
• Zone 3 - Between Inner London and Outer London.
• Zone 4 - Outer Part of London.
• Zone 5 - Suburbs of London.
• Zone 6 - Suburbs of London.
Is it cheaper to buy a Travelcard or use pay as you go/contactless?
Yes. When you make 3 or more journeys for 6 days or more within a 7 day period, a 7 day Travelcard works out cheaper than an Oyster or contactless payment card.Is it cheaper to get an Oyster card or a Travelcard?
Yes, in general, it's cheaper to get an Oyster card and load it with pay as you go credit rather than buying a Travelcard, especially if you are only traveling within the central zones of London.
However, if you're planning to travel frequently and extensively throughout London, for example, if you make 3 or more journeys within 7 days, the 7 Day Travelcard is cheaper than using an Oyster card or contactless payment.
