The room layout is very warm, clean and tidy. Except for the air conditioner which makes a little loud noise, everything else is very good. I especially like the swimming pool, where I can lie down and relax in the afternoon, and drink some special cocktails in the evening, French romance, rich and unique!

This is a beautiful old hotel with very interesting history. It’s in a beautiful location across the street from the Atlantic Ocean. The promenade outside the hotel is fabulous for a long walk down to Ipeneda beach. The breakfast buffet was perfect - lots of choices with fresh fruit, homemade breads and eggs,omelets etc.

This place is killing it. Do you want the best service you've ever had in your entire life teetering on some Aman White Lotus situation? Come here. This is next level service and a true full revive hotel. I'm a busy CEO and it's so great to have so much help with everything. Everyone is so nice and highly trained. If you put a shopping bag on the floor a doily goes under it. They have 3 restaurants and the best breakfast of your life with a creme brûlée situation that is a game changer. Stay here. Live here. Love these people that put love into their work. Tip them like crazy please. Thank you.

The staff was outstanding, the hotel was a five star, and the amenities were divine. Thank you to all the staff, especially, Rodrigo, Victor and Carlo at guest check in. Gabriel at Concierge, Eduardo at the front door, Robert at the pool area, and Carlos, the attendant on the beach. Everyone at Copacabana Palace made our 24th wedding anniversary memorable.

I had the most amazing time here... Wish I would have stayed longer. The staff is well trained, friendly and helpful. Most of the staff spoke English as well. The food is delicious and the service is outstanding. Breakfast is unbelievably good. Definitely coming back here.

This hotel is nothing like advertised. Our room had mould on the walls, broken light fittings and cracked floor tiles. Most staff are completely unengaged and pompous, incapable of resolving issues when raised. A horrible hotel for our 3 night stay in Rio and not worth the inflated price. Construction work sounded like it was in the next room and came without any warning, and again our concerns were ignored. We’ve stayed in other Belmond hotels which were exquisite, sadly not this one. Lift your game.

This property is located right across the street from Copacabana Beach. We used the airport transfer service. Communications was excellent. The driver was outside baggage claim to meet us. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. The check-in/out process was easy and hassle free. The concierge was great. They were pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. The concierge was our resource for everything we wanted to do in Rio de Janeiro. Our room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. The usual amenities came with the room. The bathroom was spacious with a large tub and walk-in shower. Wi-Fi connection was strong and stable throughout the property. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Best of all, staff throughout the hotel were outstanding. Everyone was pleasant, welcoming, and ready to help. Turn down service and housekeeping were fantastic. They took good care of our room during our stay. Same with the staff at Pergula. This was our first time in Rio de Janeiro. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Rio de Janeiro.
