My husband and I stayed here for two nights as part of a Smithsonian tour. The hotel, including the chapel, is so beautiful that it could be a stop on the tour itinerary. (The attached photo was taken early in the morning.) The service was outstanding. We especially enjoyed eating dinner in the bar and listening to a great band. The Monasterio is located within walking distance of shopping and tourist sites.

Monasterio is a fantastic Cusco hotel situated perfectly in the old town. Entering the hotel you meet the historic lobby bar and the beautiful plaza with exquisite flower arrangements and a fountain in the middle. The hotel is, of course, an old monastery which gives it this special atmosphere. The food was great and the staff extremely helpful. The only minus was that the room we got on our late arrival did not live up to our expectations. Having said that, the front desk manager quickly changed our room to a very nice room the next morning and furthermore left a gran reserva Peruvian wine in our new room. We will happily return to Monasterio.

Really unique hotel. We especially enjoyed the opera dinner. Breakfast was amazing. Located close to shopping and churches. Especially a Catholic Church rich with historical facts. I highly recommend this hotel.

Monasterio provided the best experience for us in our first visit to Cusco. The room was spacious, extremely clean and beautifully decorated. The service is 10 stars, there is nothing you can ask for that they are not willing and even delighted to do for you. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the city and we will definitely be back with our friends and family.

Spend 2 nights in Cusco at the Monasterio. It was like staying in a museum. Great location, food, drinks. Everything was fabulous!

service here, like all Belmond hotels I've visited, has been incredible. I'm not sure if it's Peru or Belmond but everyone was so friendly and welcoming. This hotel is an old monastery and it feels special walking in it, seeing all the art and the peaceful courtyards. The sister hotel next door has more facilities that you could use. We only visited there once but were glad that we were at Monasterio. The atmosphere was very special for a honeymoon, the hotel wasn't busy and again, the staff was wonderful. The location is also conveniently located, we were able to walk around most of the city.
