How should I put it? The name of a five-star hotel is equivalent to a single room in an apartment building in China. The price is 2,500. You can stay in a super luxury five-star hotel in China, but this place is like a Tiandi Building in a village in the city. Not worth it Definitely not recommended, but hotels in Accra are expensive.

From a distance the hotel represents a tower of highly illuminated Jenga blocks. The hotel is very high concept comprising self contained suites with bedroom (the bed must have a been triple double king size), a living area, kitchenette and dining area and very large decked balcony. It out blings anything you would find in Dubai, the decor consists of silver flock wall paper and an abundance of onyx, marble, gold inlay and more onyx and gold. Wow. It is immaculately clean and well maintained with latest modern equipment. The foyer area is super stylish. The hotel also boasts a first class gym with a good selection of cardio and weights. There were a few minor issues but otherwise this made a very nice, boutique and personalised alternative to the large chain hotels (Mövenpick etc). It is reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet was good. As a Brit and therefore a neutral observer, I’m beginning to think Ghana has the superior Jollof rice.

As usual, we had a great experience here. It was my husband’s birthday and they decorated our suite beautifully, and brought up a cake and Moet. Daniel, our butler, went above and beyond to create a mini dance party in our suite to celebrate, and it was genuinely joyful and a truly “only in Ghana” experience. I want to shout out Derrick, Bismark, Enoch, Believe and Salesi as well for their care on our special weekend. Anything we wanted, Daniel made happen, and we felt incredibly cared for. We had our Valentine’s Day this year at One Oxford and they did an equally beautiful job caring for us. It’s become our special occasion place here in Accra.

Everyone was wonderful for our stay. In particular Jessica and Ritchie who helped us with our needs. The security is very nice as well outside. Definitely a great place to stay with shopping and amenities around. Room is very spacious and clean. Will be back. Lots of love for Ghana !!! Traveller from Canada

I really enjoyed my stay at No 1 for my husbands birthday. We invited friends to join us in the celebrations. Everyone had a great time by the poolside till the early hours of the morning. The staff were amazing. They provided exceptional service all day and night. The food was amazing, the pool was gorgeous. It definitely exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be returning. Thank you.

First time in Ghana and this hotel was magnificent!!!! The staff are friendly and the Butlers are ready to assist wherever needed. All the staff members were great but the one that stood out for me was the bartender Nathaniel from serving my husband and I drinks to answering any questions we had. If you attend the bar area make sure you stop by to see Nathaniel

If you’re coming to Accra, I would absolutely recommend Number One Oxford Street. First, the ambience is to absolutely die for! Every single part of the hotel is so posh and luxurious! They did not spare any expense. The room was no exception and the King sized bed was an absolute dream. Jet lag wasn’t even an option because I slept so well! The view from the gigantic patio is breathtaking at night! Breakfast was also included, and once again they spared no expense. Not only did they have a chef with an omelette station, but everything else you could imagine! Waffles, pancakes, sausage, bacon, fresh coconut, fruit, yogurt, and the list goes on. Second, the staff are so kind and helpful! Daniel was my host and was super friendly from start to finish! The front desk host (I didn’t catch her name), but she was there when I checked in and when I checked out, was so sweet! Third, the gym, pool area and lounge were great too! Such a great gym and it was quite quiet too, so had the place to myself. But if you are a digital nomad and want a spot to work, the lounge area in the lobby is fantastic or even the pool area has lounge cabanas you can work from! If you’re looking for hotel options in Accra, look no further! This is the place to stay!

I stayed at this hotel August 1-12. I have stayed at this property many times in the past, and had no issues. However now the property has changed so much. Derek (Butler service) has always been great to me in the past, however he has moved to their other location. The new butlers are not as trained as him and move very slow. We ordered room service food and they couldn't understand what we wanted to order. This made them prepare the food twice, which took over an hour. Most importantly I had $200 stolen out my room. I hid the money in my purse and someone went into the room and stole it. I filed a report with the hotel and they accused me of either losing it or my cousin who visited me of stealing my money. I will NEVER stay at this property again. If they are capable of stealing money who knows what else they are capable of. I also stayed at their Belcrest property and that was awful. I have pictures to document what happened there and I will leave another review. Please if you are thinking of staying at this property DO NOT. They steal from guests, and do nothing about it.
